A Year in the Life of Peter Short

Peter Short is a graduate school student at Northwestern University in mid-1960s. Peter meets a beautiful blonde, Sallie Barnes, who happens to be a performer in the Ice Follies. Romance blooms and Peter pursues Sallie across the country. Sallie exhibits subtle signs of emotional instability along the way, but Peter’s untrained eye does not recognize the driving forces behind her erratic behavior. At times they seem headed toward a long-term relationship, but something always happens that blows their relationship apart.

You’ll enjoy the adventures of Peter’s up and down relationship with Sallie and his experiences with other interesting characters he encounters in his travels across the country. If you like movies like Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction, you will enjoy reading this novel.
